The Mama Dragon Story Project

January 24, 2016

Photography has been and still is a voice for positive action in our world.

Kimberly Anderson has spent the past year photographing mothers of LGBT+ children. These women call themselves Mama Dragons. At the core of the project is suicide prevention and expanding acceptance of this marginalized group. Anderson has photographed nearly 70 Mama Dragons across six Western states and each mother has also written her personal story. Looking Glass is proud to showcase work that speaks eloquently to issues of importance in our times.
